A Bit About the Club
We are a bunch of Rugby Mad Over the Hill Blokes who want to do nothing more than play this wonderful game, drink beer & meet equally enthusiastic players from other teams, We ply our trade at Roose Pioneers Ground at Redwaters in Barrow.

Barrow & District Masters was formed in 2009, the game in barrow has grown steadily since to the point where we have 35+ players registered regularly turning out a full team, ranging from the youngest at 35 through to our "elder statesmen" in to their 70's. in fact the oldest player in the league is 83 so we have some way to go yet. You are never too old to play masters.

One of our recent highlights was having the honour of playing "Masters of rugby League Australia" on their 2018 tour of Great Britain. And there are several of the current team of have represented Great Britain in matches home and away against NZ and Australia.
What it Takes
Not a Lot......If you've been a Pro, a Keen amateur and fancy getting back involved, or never played in your life and just fancy getting fit, learning a new sport and being part of a team. We welcome everyone .... young'ish and old.

We train (gently) most monday evenings during the season (from Feb - Nov) and tend to arrange games against other like minded teams around the north of england every 3 weeks or so, to allow the old bones to recover and stocks of strapping, rubbing liniment to be replenished.
